The Slovenia captain is unhappy at the club and after four years with the Baggies he may now be looking to move on.

As well as the lack of starting football, Koren also bemoaned being played out of position. He told the Express and Star: ‘I never got a chance in the centre but always in a wing position. This was from the outset of the season after the arrival of the new coach.’

The 29-year-old has started just one Championship game in a central position this season, scoring in the home win against Ipswich, and has perhaps fallen below Youssouf Mulumbu, Graham Dorrans and even Gonzalo Jara as first team choice for Roberto Di Matteo.

The player added he would be willing to move abroad to get regular action, although perhaps prefers staying in England.

Sad to see you go Robert, but Mulumbu and Dorrans are the first team choice of Vital WBA as well.
