Injury Blow For Albion Striker

West Brom have been handed good and bad news on the injury front as far as strikers are concerned.

On loan Man City striker Ishmael Miller was forced off with a knee injury during the 0-0 Black Country derby draw with Wolves on Sunday, which is expected to keep him out for 4-6 weeks. Better news is the return to light training of Kevin Phillips, who has been suffering with a knee problem of his own since the early part of the month.

Speaking about Miller’s injury West Brom boss Tony Mowbray told the Web Brom website: “The initial signs from the medical department are that it’s lateral knee ligament damage.”

This will come as a blow to second in the table West Brom as Miller has made quite an impression show far during his season long loan from Man City. West Brom travel to fourth placed Plymouth on Wednesday.
