According to a report from The Independent, West Brom are one of a number clubs interested in signing attacker Jesse Lingard from Manchester United.
The England international has found opportunities hard to come by this season, starting just nine league games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
That is something that appears to have caught the attention of several clubs, with the latest reports claiming that West Brom and Premier League duo West Ham and Everton are all interested in a move for Lingard.
Would you take Jesse Lingard at West Brom? |
However, it is thought that Lingard himself is keen to stay at United despite that relative lack of game time recently, meaning there is absolutely no guarantee that the 27-year-old will be making a move to The Hawthorns when the transfer window reopens.
Even so, that hasn’t stopped Baggies fans from debating the merits of a move for Lingard on Twitter, with something of a split emerging over the issue.
Here, we take a look at what some West Brom fans have been saying about the possibility of signing Lingard from United.

People saying no, what level of player do you expect? Lingard may not be on United’s level but he’s still a solid premier league player who’s half the league would probably be interested in.
