Left Back Goran Popov has said he will be better prepared for the challenges that lie ahead in his second season on loan, following his experiences last term.

Speaking to the wba.co.uk the 28 year old said he was delighted to be back and he was looking to make a bigger impact this time round especially as he now knows what to expect.

‘I’m happy to be back at West Brom. Last season I was a little bit late for pre season because I was waiting for the deal to happen. This time I will start with the group and I’ll be ready like everybody else.’

Popov says he welcomes the competition again from Liam Ridgewell and he’s looking rekindle that challenge as he believes last season they both helped push each other.

‘Last year I didn’t play a lot of games, and this year I hope to play more. I know the league now and I’m not afraid of anyone.’
