With West Bromwich Albion looking towards a busier deadline day as new head coach Slaven Bilic continues bolstering his first team group as we hope we can go one better than last season and gain promotion back to the Premier League, we have now been linked with a raid on Aston Villa for their out of favour striker Scott Hogan.
The Republic of Ireland international has had a woeful time at Villa Park following his big money arrival from Brentford in the January 2017 transfer window, and he’s only found the back of the net ten times for them since then and clearly finds himself out of favour under his former gaffer, Dean Smith.
Football Insider claimed this week that we were in pole position for his capture, but that Stoke City and Bristol City were also interested in him, and these fans couldn’t think of a worse deal to go through from our point of view.
Please no
