Shane Long has admitted that he doesn’t believe Aston Villa’s Alan Hutton has anything to apologise for with his spell out injured and he doesn’t believe the tackle was malicious.
With plenty of media outlet’s taking the line that Villa nor Hutton have apologised for the incident (which I’m sure is wrong actually as I remember reading something from their manager at the very least), Shane Long said sensibly – even if many fans disagree – to wba.co.uk.
‘There’s nothing for him to apologise for, I’m sure he never meant to crack a bone in my leg. We move on, it could’ve been a lot worse.’
Takes a big man to brush that aside in my opinion.
