West Bromwich Albion youngster Kyle Howkins has now sealed a loan switch out to Cambridge United.

The centre half extended his contract at Albion until the summer of 2019 at the turn of the year, and the 21 year old will continue his development at the League Two side having signed on for a spell that will expire on January 6.

Having gained experience during a loan spell with Mansfield Town last campaign, he made close to 30 appearances for them as they finished 12th in League Two, this should be another good experience for him.

He’s the fourth Academy player to head out on loan this season, following on from Jack Fitzwater, Shaun Donnellan and Ethan Ross.
