Roy Hodgson is very hopeful that Albion will complete the signing of Dundee United’s midfielder, Scott Allan, who held a medical today.

The 20 year old highly rated midfielder was at the training ground today for a medical after a fee was agreed (rumoured to be around £400,000) and Hodgson was very impressed following a chat with him.

Speaking to wba.co.uk the gaffer said.

‘I had a long chat with Scott and his father, it was very good and very interesting. It would turn out to be a very interesting signing if he passes the medical, which I’m sure I will. I’m very hopeful, come next week, I’ll be told I can welcome him into the training sessions.’
