Roy Hodgson has backed Peter Odemwingie to bounce back from his miss against Swansea.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the effective open goal sitter that Odemwingie skied, Hodgson pointed out how vital a player Peter has been to the club and that nobody should let a simple mistake overshadow that.

‘Football is a game about mistakes, all goals come from mistakes. It is unusual for a player of his ability to miss from that sort of range, but we might not be in this situation if it hadn’t have been for what he did for us last season. I certainly don’t expect any apologies from him.’

Good man management again, it was a horror but letting it affect him and building it into something it isn’t, certainly won’t help us in the long run.
