Roy Hodgson has said he always had faith in Marc-Antoine Fortune after seeing the striker play a big part in our victory over Stoke last weekend.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after giving the seemingly out of favour striker the role of lone frontman role against Stoke, Hodgson was pleased with what he saw.

‘I think he’s always had a future here. We loaned him out to Doncaster because he really did need to get some game time. It’s worked out really well in his favour and in ours because he’s come back stronger. But I’ve never lost faith in Marc-Antoine Fortune.’
