The Albion confirmed on their official Twitter account this week that 19-year-old attacker Jamie Soule has joined Vanarama National League leaders AFC Barrow on a month-long loan deal, with the Baggies academy graduate becoming the latest name to take their talents into the senior game after impressing at youth level.
A former target for Borussia Dortmund as reported by The Sun, Soule’s loan move comes at an ideal time with Barrow fighting tooth-and-nail for promotion to the EFL and winning plaudits from the likes of The Athletic which has seen the non-league club been compared to Barcelona for their style of play, and some West Brom fans on social media were pleased to see the youngster make the jump to the professional game even if it is just for a month.
Here’s what a few West Brom supporters had to say about Soule’s move to Barrow on Twitter…
Great move for him, gets better every time I see him and his hold up play has improved ten fold,@BarrowAFC youre getting yourself a top player here, just what he needs #WBA
