West Brom’s Premier League season continued with a draw with Aston Villa at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

It’s now three-matches without defeat for Aston Villa but the nil-nil draw didn’t do too much to help either side but West Brom will be the marginally happier of the rival sides.

Villa felt aggrieved that Jordan Ayew, who looked to be fouled by Jonas Olsson, wasn’t rewarded with a penalty with a Craig Dawson header over the closest West Brom came in the first half with Stephane Sessegnon also failing to hit the target in the second half.

Had a West Brom winner came, which didn’t look like coming really (with neither side really threatening), it would have gave Albion a first topflight double over Villa in over 50-years having won one-nil at Villa Park earlier in the season.

These were the other results.

Norwich 4-5 Liverpool
Crystal Palace 1-3 Tottenham
Leicester 3-0 Stoke
Man Utd 0-1 Southampton
Sunderland 1-1 Bournemouth
Watford 2-1 Newcastle
West Brom 0-0 Aston Villa
West Ham 2-2 Man City

These games are to be played.

Arsenal v Chelsea 16:00

A stunning game between Norwich and Liverpool, with the Reds edging out a dramatic nine-goal thriller at Carrow Road to beat the Canaries five-four was easily the ‘stand out’ result of the weekend, arguably game of the Premier League season so far!
