Roy Hodgson has said he is still making his mind up on who should be our No 1.

Speaking to the press, Hodgson said that despite impressing against Stoke, Scott Carson cannot consider himself our number 1 just yet as he hasn’t made his mind up just yet on who is the better option.

‘Obviously Carson is a good keeper, Myhill is a good keeper. For me to be able to put my hand up and say ‘I’m absolutely convinced that this one is better than the other one’, I need to work with them a lot more than two weeks.’

Scott shouldn’t take that as a criticism of his performance, as Hodgson adds.

‘Carson’s performance was very solid, what he had to do he did very, very well. He’s the more experienced of the two and that was one of the things which prompted me to give him a chance against Stoke.’
