West Brom fans didn’t get the result they necessarily wanted against Leeds United in their first game of the 2020s. However, they didn’t lose either and that is something to be celebrated, and certainly something that the fans had a lot to say about.

The Baggies have got so much time for Slaven Bilic and the current squad that they have who are doing their utmost to fight for the Championship title and Premier League promotion, and this was just another point on the road to that.
Losing to Leeds would have seen the home side fall three points behind the Whites in the table, but as things stand they’re only behind the Yorkshire side on goal difference, and that is certainly something that the club can be pleased with as they plan for the rest of a hectic season.
Will Slaven Bilic guide us back to the Premier League?
Yes
No
You can read the Baggies’ thoughts on the draw here:
Played well today much improved from Middlesbrough, let’s go and sign some bloody players, get it done quick and not last minute panic loans. Coyb!

Fair result, certainly in Jan, need a few additions..
Casillas is a talented keeper, great saves kept them in it, but lost a bit of pazzaz and rhythm in possession.
Edwards, with more self confidence, could be an asset, Austin’s omission a puzzler?

Too slow moving the ball around and we are desperate for some pace up top. Not enough urgency for a home games v Leeds.

I’ll take that. Played much better

100% would of taken a point as the start of the game

The Baggies will undoubtedly be gutted if they miss out on promotion, but after grinding out this point you’d imagine they won’t struggle to.
