West Bromwich Albion’s pre-season preparations ahead of the coming 2018/19 Championship campaign continued on Friday evening as we travelled up to Scotland for our next scheduled game.
Darren Moore's side remain unbeaten in pre-season…

Heading to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen, the hosts took the lead in the 36th minute but Jake Livermore did put us back on level terms and that’s where the scoring on the evening ended.
262 travelling fans were also witness to the debuts of summer signings Kyle Bartley and goalkeeper Jonathan Bond. Whether two debuts and a goal is enough to make up for an 840-mile round trip is down to those who made such a fantastic effort!
West Brom:
Bond (Palmer 65), Cranie (Hegazi 70), Fitzwater, Bartley (Wilson HT), Gibbs (Melbourne HT), Brunt (Leko 70), Livermore (Harper HT), Field (Morrison 65), Phillips (Burke 65), Edwards, Rodriguez (Robson-Kanu 65).
Unused sub: Dawson.
With a number of fans looking at the teamsheet following head coach Darren Moore’s words about taking a strong squad, especially when it came to Craig Dawson, seeing him remain as an unused substitute probably tells its own message about his continued future really as given he travelled, you would’ve thought he’d get some minutes in the tank to cover the possibility that he remains with us when the first league game kicks off.

As for the game, Aberdeen are ahead of us in their preparations as they are working towards their Europa League qualifier with Burnley next Thursday so we can take positives from the match and Moore told wba.co.uk that he felt it was the ‘perfect game’ for us at this stage of our preparations.
“It was a really worthwhile work-out on Friday night against Aberdeen. I thought it was a good test for us. I thought the lads managed it well. There is still a lot to work on but it was the perfect game for us and we will take some key points from it moving forward. We will get sharper and better. Players are finding their touch again and that is what pre-season is all about. I was really pleased with what I saw and I have no complaints.”
🎥 A simple finish for @29_JL at Pittodrie…
