Leicester City assistant boss Craig Shakespeare, in true Alex Ferguson style, has lashed out at the fixture scheduling which will see his side try to recover from Tuesday’s defeat to Cardiff before facing Albion at The Hawthorns on Friday night.

The former Albion coach branded the schedule a “mockery’ given that his side had ‘eight or nine games in a month and yet, in November, we had just three.”

Albion are looking for the first of three wins that would guarantee automatic promotion, and so won’t be too sympathetic to Leicester’s complaints.

It will also be a return for former West Brom assistant manager and coach Nigel Pearson, who is chasing a second successive promotion.

We will always salute your post-Robson management efforts Nigel, but on Friday, I’m afraid we need a win.
