Roy Hodgson has said we lacked a cutting edge today, and that we need four more points to be sure we have secured Premiership football for next season.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the 2-0 loss, Hodgson said.

‘We missed a cutting edge today, we worked hard after going behind to a somewhat unfortunate deflected goal. I thought we got ourselves back in the game quite well and could have had an equiliser by half time. It was going to be important to carry that on in the second half, but the second goal killed that off. We didn’t keep the ball well enough and we didn’t create enough chances.’

Roy’s certainly not downbeat though, with seven games left he thinks we only need four points to ensure our Premiership survival.

‘I don’t think we need anything more than four points. It’s disappointing today because the way we started I was rather hoping we’d get something out of it.’
