Roy Hodgson has said that he believes Ben Foster has improved as the season has drawn on and he’s been delighted with his performances.

Speaking to wba.co.uk it’s pretty clear that Roy would love to turn the loan spell into a permanent deal given the praise heaped on Foster.

‘I think Ben’s got better and better quite frankly, he has grown into the role with us. I think he’s got better and I thought his distribution on Saturday was outstanding. I think he’s getting more and more comfortable in his role here and it just goes to show sometimes it doesn’t matter how good you are, sometimes you need to gel with the guys around you.’

Would be a good boost if a permanent deal could be organised in the summer. We’re got a fair bit of stability at the back in some sense, and to lose the goalie after the progress we’ve made would be disappointing.
