When West Bromwich Albion brought back former Academy graduate Romaine Sawyers over the summer, a number of fans were delighted to see the 28-year-old return for his prime years and having paid only £3million to Brentford for his services, most felt he would prove to be an absolute snip at that fee – and he hasn’t disappointed in his performances so far this year.

Although he’s only chipped in with one goal and one assist so far, he’s been one of our better performers largely linking play from midfield and he was certainly in tip top form on Monday evening as we returned to the top of the Championship table following a 2-0 victory over Stoke City.

Following the game, the clubs’ social media team picked out one pass in particular for extra attention, and fans who took the time to react, couldn’t have been more delighted.

Onwards and upwards now as top spot is ours to lose again.
