On Friday evening West Bromwich Albion made the trip to Bramall Lane to face off against Sheffield United.

Head coach Darren Moore’s side fell behind early on in the first half as the hosts started brightly, but slowly and surely we worked our way into the tie and Gareth Barry sent us into the halftime break with the scores tied.

Second half we continued our improvement and Kieran Gibbs gave us the winner in the 76th minute as we moved into third place in the Championship table having taken all three points.

Statistics website Whoscored gave our opening goalscorer their Man of the Match with a rating of 8.11.

Completing the top five on the day with a strong performance were Dwight Gayle (7.61), Harvey Barnes (7.61), Gibbs (7.30) and Craig Dawson (7.17).

A good night for West Brom and given United are in the promotion hunt with us, come the end of the season it could turn out to be a massive three points.
