Graham Dorrans came out as worthy winner of our ‘Player of the Season’ vote announced today.

Having scored 17 goals this season, including eight from the penalty spot often at decisive moments, Dorrans is our top scorer and top provider as well with 19 assists.

He has also our been our most consistent performer making 47 starts this season, which in 2009/10 has been the highest for any Albion player across all competitions.

The Vital West Brom fans came back with a unanimous 68% endorsement of our midfield star with Runner-up spot being given to the late blooming Marek Cech with 9% of the vote.

Interestingly enough, second top goal scorer Chris Brunt didn’t register a single vote. I guess statistics aren’t everything and influence, commitment and consistent performances are what the fans want.

  • Amazing…I do agree that stats don’t always tell the story but let’s face it Brunt deserves it more… he has scored some critical goals at critical times in the promotion chase. Dorrans benefits from being a penalty taker.
