One of the regular topics on this summer transfer rumour mill at West Bromwich Albion lately has been the future of talented and highly rated Academy graduate Rekeem Harper.

With the 19-year-old having a good breakthrough year in the 2018/19 Championship campaign, with 19 starting appearances and four substitute showings, he also chipped in with his maiden club goal and one assist but with his contract expiring this summer, our new offer to him as so far been left on the table, and Celtic were listed prominently as a potential suitor for his services – with us merely receiving training compensation once again.

Decision Time For West Brom Talent – Second & Final Deal Offered

Celtic weren’t the only potential suitors, some have linked Tottenham Hotspur with a move for the midfielder but at least when it comes to the Scottish end of the speculation, with them confirmed to be making a move for Motherwell’s David Turnbull it should take their Harper interest off the table.

Depending on what other approaches Harper has had, we can only hope our deal looks more attractive as he weighs up his options.
