Roy Hodgson has talked about the differing tests Albion will face over the opening weeks of the new league season.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson said that whilst most fans will be looking at the opening two against Man U and Chelsea, bogey team Stoke and matches against new boys Swansea and Norwich, also all bring with them a certain danger.

‘I think it’s fair to say the fixtures haven’t been particularly kind to us in terms of the start we’ve got. Back to back matches against newly promoted clubs, that’s not ideal either.’

Hodgson knows that whilst it will be a tough start and we will face a number of different tests from the team we play, what’s key is that we as a team are prepared and on form to give us the best shot we can of taking maximum points.

‘The most important thing is that we are ready for the games.’
