“Didn’t Have A Sniff” – Bilic Thrilled With Best Yet From West Brom

|

It’s been a good to start for West Bromwich Albion head coach Slaven Bilic, as he’s seen his side remain unbeaten so far in our Championship campaign and this weekend we were looking to build on that with a trip to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers.

The early kickoff saw more joy for Bilic as his side, after a scoreless first half, took full advantage in the second period with Nathan Ferguson finding the net in the 53rd minute from long range. It took until six minutes from full time for us to double that lead as Matheus Pereira made his set piece count.

We better dominated the game and the hosts didn’t have a single registered effort on target, so you have to be happy with that.

Speaking to the BBC following the full time whistle, our Croatian gaffer said of our efforts on the day.

“This is the best performance that we played so far. Straight from the start we were on the front foot. They didn’t have a sniff. We were a bit nervous – we were getting in great situations but were rushing it. In those situations you maybe need one moment of individual brilliance and we got that with Nathan (Ferguson). We were pure class afterwards. I’m really pleased. Of course we can get better and it’s still early days but I have to say the lads have been excellent.”
