With West Bromwich Albion head coach Slaven Bilic moving from a ‘no panic’ approach to ‘I hope signings are close’ within a 48 hour period after our heavy defeat to Valencia, I knew I wouldn’t be the only one to wonder what was going on behind the scenes that caused him to do such a noticeable about-face.
With West Brom failing in their capture of Southampton striker Charlie Austin given it appears he rejected our advances and would instead prefer to battle for a place that’s no longer his at St Mary’s, add that to the pre-season friendly defeat and it would certainly be understandable as to why our Croatian gaffer now wanted a little more urgency in our dealings.
It’s always better the quicker you can get new signings in as they have time to settle and if we are taking a loan approach to things, it means Bilic needs any permanent captures sooner rather than later and Filip Krovinovic can’t be the only one.
Reacting to his more recent comments, plenty of fans felt it was a direct message to the Board and Luke Dowling.
Havent worked out yet to what degree we are failing in respect of how much its Dowling or Jenkins fault.Probs 50/50.All I know is both need to go before to arrest the downward tail spin the club is in towards league One.

And so it begins. I wonder if he'll make it to the first game before he resigns

Can’t see him putting up with Jenkins and Dowling, will be very surprised if he’s still there by the start of the season.

He won’t be here long then but he will be leaving on his own accord
