Simon Cox has more than one reason to be cheerful at the moment, not only has he welcomed fellow Irish international Keith Andrews to the club, he’s also made his sixth successive start in the first team this season.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the Fulham game, Cox was also delighted with the resilience Albion showed to grab the point in the game.

‘Both teams set up pretty much the same and you could see why both teams were hard to beat. I think we are probably a bit more resilient away from home. We suck up pressure and try to hit on the break. We have to look at the positives from the night, we went behind but we came back and we’re happy with that.’

On the arrival of Andrews he added.

‘He’s a very good player in my opinion, he will be a good addition to our team. He’s got Premier League experience and I’ve played with him for Ireland, and I like playing with him. Leadership on the pitch is something we probably need a little bit more of, and Keith is someone who talks well.’
