Steve Clarke has said he believes money is available if the club choose to strengthen in January.

Speaking to Sky Sports Clarke said he hadn’t spoken to the Chairman yet, but he had had discussions with Dan Ashworth when it came to January.

‘There’s a possibility we lose a couple of players to the Africa Cup of Nations, we could lose players to injury, but when we get closer to the end of the month we’ll start to make decisions. We (Dan) have spoken about what we might need to do in January. Is there money there? Yes, I think there is.’

In other January news it’s being suggested that Brendan Rodgers could be lining up a £12million move for Shane Long.

I would suggest Liam Ridgewell has already shown what Liverpool can do with their money and I hope the club follow his example if a genuine offer comes in.
