Steve Clarke has talked about is change of team and tactics for the game against Wigan, but he was delighted to see us take all 3 points again.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the 2-1 victory, Clarke said.

‘We’ve had a bad habit recently of losing late goals and dropping points and it was nice to hang on and get the 2-1 win. The away win is long overdue. I think the performances have been as good as the home performances, but it’s nice to get a win.’

Clarke said away form wasn’t a ‘monkey on our back’ but he was pleased to see the run come to an end before anybody built it into something it wasn’t.

He was also obviously pleased with the performances of those he brought in.

‘We made one enforced change, which was Boaz, who made a really assured and polished performance in place of Ben. The other three were tactical changes to give us fresh legs. We also tinkered with the formation a little bit, once we settled into the game I thought we were really good.’

Good to see that Clarke can trust others to come in, and still rotate things around to suit how the game is going. Should stand us in good stead as we move forward.
