Steve Clarke has said he believes Albion will have enough ammunition upfront to see us to a good season this term.

Speaking to wba.co.uk, Clarke believes that the competition for places will be that fierce upfront that it’ll force all of our strikers into their best form because they will simply have to take their chance when it comes along.

We’ve certainly got the numbers, prior to the adding of Lukaku and Rosenberg, he obviously already had Odemwingie, Long, Gera, El Ghanassy and Fortune to pick from.

You can add Chris Wood to that, although I do believe Albion are open to offers from something I read the other day. Then of course then there’s the youngsters coming through aswell.

‘Competition for places is going to be fierce – that’s what you’re after. If I’ve learnt anything over the years it’s you can’t have enough good strikers. You have to score goals to survive, to succeed. I think with the forwards we’ve got in the squad we’ve got great options and competition for places, and they should all spur each other on to hopefully get a really good amount of goals for the club this year.’
