With ongoing contract issues between West Bromwich Albion and highly rated Academy graduate Rekeem Harper, it does appear the 19-year-old has had his head turned and fans seem pretty resigned to losing him this summer as another young talent looks for greener grass.
With an existing offer sitting on the table for the young lad, but remaining unsigned, Technical Director Luke Dowling confirmed recently that the club had made a ‘second and final offer’ to him, and since then silence – it’s not a great leap to assume he’s now off is it really.
The Daily Record have reported this week that Celtic have taken a strong interest in him given the impass we are at and they had scouts at some of our games to run the rule over him. Tottenham Hotspur have also been name-checked as having an interest in him and unfortunately for us, we’ll simply have to make do with training compensation once again given the rules in place.
