You can pretty easily say that it’s been a steady start to life under head coach Slaven Bilic, as at the time of typing, West Bromwich Albion sit in third place in the Championship table, tied on seven points with table topping Leeds United.
We won’t mention the EFL Cup though.

With Bilic just getting going at The Hawthorns, fans are yet to see centre-half Ahmed Hegazi in action yet as the Egyptian international continues his recovery following his ankle surgery earlier in the year, and although he has his detractors, the strength he brings to the back line is pretty clear for all to see.
The player took to social media this week to show his progress during the rehabilitation stages, and fans were pretty happy to hear that he was now up and running again as he builds his fitness – it’s not expected that he’ll be back in action until mid-September, but his return to contention should be a boost.
