West Brom have seen an attempt to re-sign Benfica midfielder Filip Krovinovic on loan for next season rejected, a report from Portuguese outlet Record has claimed.
Krovinovic played an important role in helping the Baggies win promotion back to the Premier League in the season just gone, and it appears the club are keen to bring the midfielder back to The Hawthorns for next season’s assault on the Premier League.
It was recently revealed by The Telegraph that West Brom are in talks to re-sign Krovinovic on loan for next season, although it already seems that that will not be happening, with the latest updates from Portugal claiming that Benfica will not entertain the prospect of a temporary move for the Croatian.
However, it is thought that a permanent move for Krovinovic could still be on the cards, with West Brom said to be willing to pay £9million to sign the midfielder this summer, and Benfica only considering a permanent departure for the 24-year-old.
It certainly seems as though that is something plenty of Baggies fans would like the club to do, as taking to Twitter to react to news of that rejected loan offer, many were keen to urge the club to buy Krovinovic outright.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say.

We need a Krov in midfield. Always drives forwards, always plays give and go and makes himself available. Wasn’t used nearly enough in championship

Bit of a cheeky request in the first place to be fair. I’m not sure we as a club expected it to be accepted.

If we don’t buy now we’ll be back in the championship next season!
