Joseph Masi of The Express and Star reports that 20-year-old defender Dara O’Shea has put pen to paper on a new deal with West Brom, with the 6’2″ centre-back signing a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Baggies that will keep the youngster at the club until the summer of 2023.
Is West Brom's academy one of the best in England?
Yes
No
O’Shea is the latest West Brom academy graduate to make their mark in the first-team, with the Dublin-born being promoted to the senior squad this season as stats from WhoScored show, and plenty of Baggies supporters on social media were buzzing to see the youngster commit his future to the club.
Here’s what plenty of West Brom fans had to say on Twitter about O’Shea signing a new deal with the club…
That’s a brilliant step forward for Albion. It was beginning to get a bit tedious with the continual stream of youngsters coming through then moving on for big money elsewhere. Well done Dara. Well done #wba
