Brentford Disappointment For West Brom But This Man Takes MotM Again

|

Monday evening’s clash at The Hawthorns between West Bromwich Albion and Brentford turned into a disappointing affair by the time the final whistle was blown.

Having dominated the game and had ten more chances than the visitors did overall, we only tested their goalkeeper on five occasions and with Harvey Barnes opening the scoring with 13 minutes remaining, we couldn’t add to our advantage and Brentford hit back in stoppage-time to take a point.

Head coach Darren Moore would’ve been left scratching his head and fans would’ve been left fuming as there’s no way that shouldn’t have been another victory.

That particular story was epitomised by Whoscored as only two Brentford players received a 7+ score, yet six of our players did.

Matt Phillips’ overall performance saw him rate above 8, and our top five best performers on the night were completed by Barnes (7.64), Ahmed Hegazi (7.28), James Morrison (7.22) and Kieran Gibbs (7.10).

Tosin Adarabioyo was the final man to get 7+ and Craig Dawson and Jay Rodriguez missed out by the smallest of margins as well.
