Birmingham City have confirmed that Cameron Jerome has agreed terms on a deal to take the Cardiff City man to St Andrews.

A deal worth over £3.5 million was agreed between the clubs last week and the striker will put pen to paper this week after agreeing terms and undergoing a medical.

The Cardiff striker was rumoured to have caught the attention of Baggies boss Bryan Robson during his impressive season last year.

Jerome was one of the top Championship scorers last season and managed to fill the boots of former Baggies man Rob Earnshaw who Albion signed from Cardiff two seasons ago.

With Jerome joining Blues, Albion will have to turn their attentions elsewhere and former Wolves target and Milton Keynes Dons striker Izale McLeod is thought to be a potential target.

McLeod who is originally from Birmingham joined the Dons from Derby County back in 2004 and has been a hit for the Milton Keynes club.

Last season the striker hit 17 goals for the relegated side and has received rave reviews after some impressive displays.

It is thought that a bid of £1.5 million would be enough to sign the striker and Robson is thought to be a fan of the striker.

One thing is for sure if Albion keep Nathan Ellington and add McLeod to play alongside him then we will have a cracking forward line to aid us in our fight for promotion.
