“Big Difference” “Influenced The Game” – West Brom Academy Graduate Takes The Plaudits From These Fans

|

With West Bromwich Albion again demonstrating a greater backbone as we fought from behind once again in last weekend’s clash with Fulham to remain unbeaten in the Championship campaign of 2019/20, there’s certainly been plenty of praise to go around for our performance.

Even if that performance certainly can, and will, be better in the future.

One of the players to come in for good praise was Academy graduate Kyle Edwards. The 21-year-old enjoyed a good loan spell out with League Two side Exeter City back in the 2017/18 campaign, and West Brom fans got to see a little bit more of him in the 2018/19 campaign as he chipped in with two goals in eleven appearances, albeit mostly substitute showings.

Head coach Slaven Bilic has already called on him eight times so far this year, with only three showings being from the bench and he opened his account for the year in the clash with Nottingham Forest as he helped us to all three points.

At Craven Cottage last Saturday, he came on as Matt Phillips replacement in the 58th minute and statistics website Whoscored had him down as our sixth best performer on the afternoon as he quickly adjusted to the game.

Taking to social media over the weekend to react to the game, he certainly saw the praise flow in from fans who responded to him.
