It was being reported on Tuesday that West Bromwich Albion have received firm offers for young Academy graduate Sam Field, but the club have no interest in sanctioning a sale at this moment in time.
The speculation seemed to come onto the rumour mill from Sun journalist Tom Barclay who stated that we’d received permanent offers for the 21-year-old from Wigan Athletic and Barnsley, but we were more seriously weighing up loan offers from Charlton Athletic, Wigan and Shrewsbury Town.
With the youngster not making the matchday squad for the 2019/20 Championship opener against Nottingham Forest, it’s believed that we would sanction a loan so he could continue his development with increased game time and taking to social media to react to the speculation, plenty of fans continue to rate him highly and believe a solid loan spell out for the season would be in everyone’s best interests here.
He sure does …. needs regular football…. doing him no good being with us at the moment

Totally agree Matt. The issue though is this; Pulis, Pardew, Moore, Shan & now Bilic didn't play him – why?

Get him to sign a contract extension first, then give ourselves a recall option in January.

Hope we keep him. To me him and Livermore are the options in DCM this year for us. Arguably field should start! Please don’t let him go…
