Yesterday Sky Sports were reporting that West Bromwich Albion had stalled Stoke City’s approach for Saido Berahino, as we were still hopeful of securing a deal for West Ham’s Diafra Sakho.

With Stoke manager Mark Hughes saying that an offer had gone in for our 22 year old soon to be ex striker,Sky were reporting that the deal £20million deal as reported was £17million upfront with £3million in add ons down the line.

Whilst that’s said to be acceptable to Chairman Jeremy Peace, and we haven’t rejected the offer, neither have we accepted it as we won’t until we have secured ourselves a replacement for him.

That of course brings us back to a former link for head coach Tony Pulis so far this month, Diafra Sakho who wants out at West Ham.

With Sakho reportedly available for around the £15million mark, Sky further suggest our chase of him will be hampered by West Ham themselves stalling on any deal until they too have a replacement for the player.
