West Bromwich Albion have once again rubbished suggestions that striker Saido Berahino will be leaving us this January.

Former head coach Alan Irvine wasn’t shy in saying that he didn’t believe Berahino would be going anywhere just yet as he had so much developing left to do.

Chairman Jeremy Peace had also previously carried out an interview were he informed fans that offers wouldn’t be entertained for our young international starlet, and with rumours gathering pace of a supposed £23million offer from Liverpool, the club’s official twitter feed had a busy night dealing with that, and the fact our former head coach had been told to do a spot of gardening.

‘Ok time to clear a few things up. One final time, this Berahino to @LFC story for £23m is and always has been an entire fabrication…’

It continued.

‘2 – A sombre day for staff at The Hawthorns because we have said farewell to a man of great class and dignity #bestwishesAlan’

Give it 48 hours and expect the Berahino rumours to be back but this time in the region of £27.5million – it’s usually how it works!
