Saido Berahino has said it’s about time that Albion started punishing our opposition at both ends of the pitch to really get our season going.

With Tottenham up next this weekend the young striker knows that defensive errors have cost us hugely so far this campaign so it’s about time we were tighter in our own box, but also importantly that going forward we started converting the chances we are creating.

Speaking to wba.co.uk the 21 year old said that the players had been working hard in training to do just that.

‘We are all trying to gel and become a stronger team to beat. We are working hard to become a good team going forward and also a team that scores lots of goals. Every game we are trying to improve. That’s what we do at the training ground, we make sure that we stay together and we are not letting anything get between us.’

Berahino goes on to say that so far this season we have been effectively giving ourselves a mountain to climb by conceding soft goals and going behind, but he’s confident that once we can cut that out we will start taking more wins than losses and really start moving up the table.

The bottomline is everybody knows what has to be done so it’s about doing it now, starting this weekend hopefully.
