BBC Journalist Expects At Least Two West Brom Signings Today

|

With reports suggesting that West Bromwich Albion are in heavy and advanced talks for Newcastle United attacker Jacob Murphy, it’s been claimed that he could be one of at least two January transfer deadline day captures by head coach Darren Moore today.

With the window shutting at 11pm tonight, the rumour mill in the media has West Brom linked with a number of players as we at least look to balance the squad again given the departures of Harvey Barnes and Bakary Sako in particular – along with a few youngsters who’ve headed out for their own future development.

BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone claimed late on Wednesday evening that Murphy was a ‘priority’ which reports had already indicated in fairness, but the most important thing about his Tweet was that the 23-year-old former Norwich City man was unlikely to be the only addition made by the club as we look to bolster our ranks in the second half of the season with a return at the first time of asking to the Premier League from the Championship a serious possibility.

We’ll soon know the truth of the claim as the day progresses, but you only need to click the Tweet above to see some fans were excited and others completely disbelieved it.

In Moore we trust and most hope, so do the Board, as he tells them what he needs.
