The Baggies have lost 2-1 in the first game of their pre-season tour.

Sherjill MacDonald scored the Baggies goal in the second half to equalise the Germans first half opener. The lead was restored for the Bundesliga new boys, Borussia Moenchengladbach shortly afterwards.

All of the outfield players got a run out with Miller particularly impressive in the first half. Sadly for the Baggies in the second half Robert Koren limped off with an injury on the hour mark. Hopefully, it won’t be too bad as Koren is a player that was missed greatly by the Baggies when he was injured in pre season last year.

Results in pre season games are all rather irrelevant it is the workout that is the key and Tony Mowbray will be pleased to get this match under the belt.

New signing Marek Cech did not play a part in the game nor did Gianni Zuiverloon who is away on Olympic duty with the Dutch squad.
