Steve Clarke has said the Awards night was not the night to voice his disapproval at Adrian Chiles quip towards Peter Odemwingie, but he wasn’t impressed.
In quotes carried by ESPN our head coach said of the ‘t**t of the year’ crack.
‘I thought it was out of order. It was ridiculous. It wasn’t the right time for me to say anything on the night, but I am saying it now. It was stupid and out of place. (Peter) is one of my players, and I protect my players fiercely, so I didn’t like it.’
Odemwingie also took the opportunity to say that Odemwingie had not been frozen out and he says his relationship with him is good and that Peter is raring to go following an injury niggle.
