West Bromwich Albion came out the right side of a battering from Everton in today’s match at Goodison Park.

With performances, shots on target and results figuring highly in the minds of fans of late, Albion the trip to Roberto Martinez’s side this afternoon and a Salomon Rondon goal after 14 minutes was enough to return all three points on the day.

The scoreline doesn’t reflect the game though, but it was does reflect was a spirited and gutsy rearguard action as the stats read 76% to the hosts and they managed a whopping 34 attempts across the 90 minutes.

Albion scored with their only effort on target – but Everton only managed to get six on target themselves.

Goalkeeper Ben Foster was also interviewed after the game and for him it was all credit to the defensive for their efforts and putting their bodies on the line in the game.
