Anelka Signing Has The Players Buzzing

Liam Ridgewell has said that hearing that Albion had signed Nicolas Anelka gave all the players a bit of a shot.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Liam Ridgewell said that his arrival had caused a real buzz in the dressing room and he believes that such a bold target could help attract similar quality.

‘As soon as the news came through that Nicolas was coming there was a buzz between the lads. The players have all been in contact over the past few days and we’ve all spoken about it. We’re all really pleased with the signing. It’s a real coup for us to be signing a player of that calibre.’

Ridgewell adds that all the players were lifted in training when he arrived and he hopes that feel good factor will help drive us onto better things this season.
