New signing Nicolas Anelka has said he hopes to end his career at Albion, after having a good couple of seasons with us.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after completing his move to us last night, the 34 year old said he was looking to make a real impact in the league again for us, and didn’t see himself moving on again.

‘I think I will finish in England, I’m happy here. I also hope that it will be with this club, I think this is the right club for me. I hope everything will be perfect and I hope we will be successful this year and hopefully reach Europe.’

Anelka adds that knowing Steve Clarke did play a role in his transfer, because he knows how our head coach likes to play the game and he feels it’ll help bring out the best in him.
