An Excellent Week For West Brom With Moore Players Stepping Up

|

Yesterday evening West Bromwich Albion returned from our Scotland based training camp and head coach Darren Moore was interviewed by club media where he stated that it was noticeable that a number of players had significantly taken a ‘step up’ in their fitness work this summer.

Moore took the majority of the group to St Andrew’s University to utilise their sports facilities and it was planned as being the most intensive four days of our pre-season build-up preparations so far as stamina work was doing with strength and conditioning sessions and the gaffer was delighted with how the week went as we now look forward to the second friendly of the summer against Swindon Town on Saturday.

Speaking to wba.co.uk, he explained.

“It’s been an excellent week. In terms of the group moving to the next stage of our preparations, I couldn’t be more satisfied. It was right for us coming up here and getting the focus back on, using some excellent facilities. The group have applied themselves really, really well. Not just the players but the staff too – the whole group. Physically and mentally, getting the players to where they are now has been a ‘win-win’ for us.”

Given how quiet it has been on a transfer front – social media reactions had one topic.
