Midfielder James Morrison has been reflecting on making his 300th appearance for West Bromwich Albion in the last match against West Ham.

Making his 300th appearance for the club in the two all draw after ten years at the club, Morrison was in no mood to hang up his boots or call it a day yet as he has his eye on another club record as well.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail as he reflected on his achievement, he explained.

‘I am delighted to get to the 300 figure, it’s been getting close for a few games now. It is a good achievement and it has sunk in a bit now. Chris Brunt had already done it so I was striving to emulate him and I am really pleased I have done it now. After three hundred games I am sat here ten years later, still enjoying football.’

The other potential record he could take is Peter Odemwingie’s record for the most Premier League goals in our shirt.

‘Peter was a very good player for this club, forget all the other stuff that went on. It would be nice to get past that, but a striker could come and do that too, maybe Salomon Rondon.’

Asked about how he’d like to go down in club history, he went on to explain that given this season so far especially.

‘It would be nice to remembered like those players in the seventies, I have worked with some great players he like Jonas Olsson and Chris Brunt, players you know will always give 110%. It’s good to see where we are now.’

But as said above, he’s not calling it a day just yet.

‘I try to set new targets, keep going as long as I can really and chase the number of appearances I have in mind. I’m still really enjoying my football here.’
