3 Tackles, 7 Aerials & 3rd Most Touches Takes West Brom Man To MotM

West Bromwich Albion were searching for some additional momentum for the Play-Off campaign when we welcomed Rotherham United to The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

It was a poor performance from the side, but in fairness Rotherham were fighting for their lives and were going to make life difficult, but a penalty from Jay Rodriguez and an effort from Rekeem Harper saw us fight from behind to take the win and all three points.

Statistics website Whoscored had mixed player ratings after that showing, but Man of the Match in their eyes went to defender Kyle Bartley for his efforts across the 90 minutes.

Completing the top five best performers on the day were fellow goalscorer Harper (7.58), Craig Dawson (7.27), Chris Brunt (7.13) and Ahmed Hegazi (7.11).

Hopefully, the performance will improve in the next one as we know whoever we face in the season extension, we’ll have to be far better than that if we are to achieve the self-stated aim of returning to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
