26 Y/O Lifts MotM After Reading Boredraw But West Brom Secure Play-Off Spot

|

It was a mixed Easter period for West Bromwich Albion as we took all three points from Hull City, yet could only take a point from our trip to the Madejski Stadium on Monday against Reading.

In any event, the point was enough to secure our Play-Off spot in the Championship campaign of 2018/19 as promotion is the demand from the Board and we now just await confirmation of our semi-final opponents.

Statistics website Whoscored gave the better player ratings to the hosts, but in their view goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was our Man of the Match with a score of 7.62.

Completing the top five on the day were the four other players to receive a seven plus score for their efforts.

Sam Field (7.39), Craig Dawson (7.26), Kyle Bartley (7.08) and Tosin Adarabioyo (7.04).

We’re over the line and that’s all that matters but it looks incredibly like Aston Villa next so going into the Play-Offs at least unbeaten now will be key for form and confidence.
